Casino Critic
Editorial policy
How Casino Critic separates editorial work from commercial relationships.
Reviews and guides are researched independently by our editorial team. We compare operator terms, licensing records, and player-facing features — not press releases alone.
We separate editorial from commercial: affiliate relationships never change a score or ranking. See How we make money for details.
Every review names an author. Significant claims are checked against operator terms and licensing records — see Fact-checking policy. We update content as offers and rules change and label material updates.
Our desk-research process
We do not claim to have deposited or played at every operator we cover. Our reviews are built through structured desk research on publicly available information, checked against the same criteria each time.
- Licensing — licence status and holder details in public regulator registers (e.g. UKGC, Ksa, GGL, ANJ, DGOJ).
- Bonus terms — welcome offers, wagering, caps, and game exclusions cross-checked against the operator's current terms & conditions.
- Payments — published deposit/withdrawal methods, stated processing times, and fees as listed on the operator site.
- Game library — providers, game categories, and published RTP or rules where the operator discloses them.
- Responsible gambling — self-exclusion, deposit limits, reality checks, and links to national helplines visible on the site.
Where we cannot verify a claim from public sources, we say so or omit it. We do not invent hands-on test results or real-money payout timings.
Review cadence & methodology version
Published reviews are scheduled for a full desk-research recheck at least every 6 months, or sooner when licensing, payments, or bonus terms change materially. Methodology version 1.0. Last updated: July 2026.
Our methodology is described in How we review.
